DIY Christmas Ornaments feat. Michael's

Hello everyone Here is my first of hopefully many Holiday posts here on my blog. I love this time if the year and I'm sure many of you do to. I"ve slowly started decoration my tree already my theme this year is white black and gold (my three favorite colors lol). So Last weekend I made a trip to Michael's and picked up a few things to make my own ornaments. I made two different designs one of them inspired by a wallpaper that I fell in love with and want to put in my daughters room. Keep reading to see what I did and hopefully this inspires you to get a little crafty this year. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
What you will need: All  products are from Michael's
Glass, plastic white ornaments (find the ones i used in stores they come in black as well)
Black ribbon (optional)
Gold & silver metallic sharpie's
Black sharpie

Start by doing small dots or lines in the center
of the ornament and work your way around.

After you are done adding the lines you can add your ribbon if you wish to.
I also created this gold polka dot ornament which was just as easy but less time consuming. Take your gold metallic sharpie and draw polka dots all around the ornament. You can do them close to each other so you can fit more or you can scatter them like I did.

Hope you guys enjoyed !

Haleys Bedroom !

Haleys Room

Hello and welcome, If you were reading over on my lifestyle blog LifeSimplyStyled or you follow me on instagram you would know that me and my family will soon be first time home owners. Sooo excited ! Haley's room is the space I've been most excited to decorate because, she has always wanted her own room and I'm so happy we can finally give it to her. I wanted a space that was whimsical, girly, and sophisticated for her to grow up in. A room that can easily transition with her as she grows up. All the pices I choose here are all from the Emily + Meritt collection at Potter barn teen. I'm so obsessed with everything in this collection I wish it was available when I was younger ! My daughter loves pink and she loves glitter, and this collection has a lot of it in fun and whimsical ways which I love. The collection is aimed for girls a little older than my daughter is but there are so many pieces in the collection that you can choose that would work great for a younger girls room. For me the design all started with the Maison Canopy bed ( how could you not love that bed) and everything else kind of revolved around that. I knew I wanted neutrals in the room although I know she would prefer everything be pink lol. I'm still deciding on paint colors because I'm not painting the walls pink because if a little baby brother comes along in a couple of years, I want to be able to make the space boy friendly too. I'll be taking you guys on Haley's Room journey  so keep an eye out !
 Untill next time xoxo

Blogger feature: I heart Organizing

This weeks before and after transformation is AMAZING to say the least. One of my favorite things to see are before and after transformations because its great to see someone's vision and ideas came to life. This weeks transformation is by Jen from I Heart Organizing . Her main focus was to create a space that was fun and functional for her family. Her inspiration all came from a floral fabric she fell in love with which at the end she wasn't able to get (sad face) but, she made it work anyways, and it all turned out fabulous.A lot of the design elements in the space she DIYed herself, which I think is always a great idea because it adds more personality to the space you are designing. Check out the pictures below and leave your thoughts on the space down below. Also don't forget to check out her amazing blog I Heart Organizing

Upholstered Headboards

Upholstered ANYTHING is my weakness, you guys probably know this by now especially if you follow me on instagram. Upholstered furniture weather it be your bed, coffee table, foot bench, or chairs adds sophistication and glam to the space you are designing. Today we are going to stick to the bedroom and talk about upholstered headboards There are endless design options when it comes to color shape or fabric choice for your upholstered piece. I love rich colors and fabrics because they can completely change the tone of room. Light colors and soft fabrics like silk or cotton are great if you are going for more of a romantic style and you want to keep things light and airy. Fabrics like leather and velvet in colors like the one below, black or jewel tones, are great if you are more of the luxurious, ultra glam type. And of course we can't forget Patterns, yes patterns. They look great in all spaces from romantic to sexy to glam to kid friendly all the way to eclectic and country chic. The possibilties are endless. Below are some inspirational pics and I've picked out a few upholstered headboards I think you guys might like. Hope you guys enjoy.
